I'm so glad it's Friday! My parents are here and I can't wait to spend the weekend with them. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I love reading so I thought I'd participate in Fill in the Blank about books!
1. My favorite book growing up was To Kill A Mocking Bird
2. The funniest book I've ever read was I have no idea, maybe Confessions of a Shop-a-holic, I thought it was quite funny when I read it for the first time (a couple of years ago)
3. The one book that has truly changed my life is one that I just finished reading, 'The Help'. It really was an eye opener to what life was really like during those times.
4. If you're looking for a real "tear jerker" you should probably read 'The Wedding' or 'The Notebook'. I read them at work during my lunch hour and couldn't stop crying!
5. If I could meet any author living or dead I would want to meet would probably be Harper Lee or Jane Austen or Kathryn Stockett.
6. The next book on my "to read" list is 'Heart of the Matter' by Emily Griffin. It's coming out in a few days and I'm looking forward to it.
I am looking for other book recommendations, so if you have any, let me know!
Hi if you're stopping by from New Friend Friday!
I LOVE to read and it sounds like we may like some of the same kinds of books so here are my recommendations:
ReplyDeleteNicholas Sparks (but sounds like you always read some of his.. I have read every single one of them and love them all)
The newest Nora Roberts series.. The second one (of 4) is called Bed of Roses and I can't seem to remember what the first one is called. I read the first on my honeymoon and loved it so much.
Also, The Little Lady Agency series is really good.
I love anything by Carly Phillips, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Donna Kauffman, or Sophie Kinsella.
I just love to read, can you tell? haha
Oh and love all of Emily Giffin's books but obviously you already know about that fabulousness! :)
Happy reading!
Hey! I have never read the Notebook, I saw the movie. I KNOW that the books are always better though! lol The movie had me in tears, I can imagine what the book will do to me! I have been wanting to read To Kill a Mocking Bird for a long time now...
ReplyDeleteAnyways I'm new & your blog seems interesting...

I agree about The Notebook - well I said that I hadn't read the book but if it was as half as sad as the film was then I would really need a box of tissues lol.

I love the book To Kill a Mockingbird! I have yet to read The Notebook but if it's anything like the movie (which I loved) I should probably check it out.
