- I finally signed up for Pinterest. I may now stay up all hours of the night. If only I could add a 'Pin It' button to my RSS reader on my iPad (or am I missing something).
- Alex hates napping. I can't complain about his sleep at night, because he will go about 9hrs without getting up most nights of the week, we usually have a few nights where he wakes up a few times but will go back to sleep for goo after 30ish minutes (without a feeding or anything). Now naps on the other hand, awful. He was cat-napping and it was only 30 minutes like 6 times a day but he was always tired. I know he needs more sleep than that but he refuses to go to sleep. I need some help with a nap schedule and getting him to take longer naps. Anyone have any suggestions?
- I'm really looking forward to the new iPhone and hope it comes out soon, this old one is slow, doesn't hold charge and many, many other things. Wishing it would happen before the middle of October right about now.
- I'm in NY visiting family for a long weekend because K wasn't going to be home much for about 6 days. Turns out Irene made them cancel his tournament so he spent the weekend home alone, oops.
- Did I mention that it's freezing in NY. It was 90+ last time I was here and yesterday it was in the low 60's. No thanks! I thought I was ready for fall but apparently not.
- I am starting to panic about going back to work. Can I pump enough/get enough sessions in? What if Alex isn't on a napping schedule, what's going to happen when he goes to daycare? Will I have any clothes to wear? How will I fit it all into a day/week?
- Tonight is my first draft for Fantasy Football! I'm excited that we're going to have a football season this year! I got a new Giants sweatshirt this weekend. Awesome.
- I feel so dis-organized and I just don't know what to do to get back on track or keep track of things. I've got several different systems going, and I need to consolidate them into 1. I have a momAgenda but what does anyone else use?

Miscellaneous Monday
- Delicious-ness - I struggle with what to bring for lunch when I'm at work or working from home. For some reason lunch is a mystery to me. I made this delicious salad for lunch today. Doesn't look like there's lettuce in there but there is I swear. This will be on my menu when I can start exercising and start tracking points/calories (when I get back from NY) - maybe with a few modifications.
- Amazon Subscribe and Save - Has anyone used Amazon's subscribe and save? I got an email about it after subscribing for Amazon mom and checked it out for diapers this weekend. We are using disposables for traveling and needed to get some. After pricing them out they turned out to be cheaper here than Target, WalMart, BJ's and other stores we checked out. Plus it's delivered right to the door! If we primarily used disposables This would be awesome. You can tell them what you want and how often to deliver it and they do it automatically (they send you an email before they ship your order). It's a great option! Definitely going to look into it for other paper products!
- Harry Potter - I'm a big Harry Potter fan. I can't wait to see this last movie! We won't be able to see it right away though (I've seen every one of them within 2-3days of being in the theatre) with the little one but hopefully my mom will be able to babysit for us 1 night next week so we can go watch. Super excited!
(IMDB Image) - Awesome Weekend of Sports - I'm a big sports watcher. I know I've said before that I'm a Yankees fan and I'm happy to see that Jeter got to 3,000 hits this weekend! He went 5 for 5 what an awesome game.
Did you see the Women's World Cup game?!?! That goal by Wombach was fantastic and Hope Solo is an awesome goalie, I might have a bit of a girl crush on her. :-)
Hope you all had a great weekend!

Miscellany Monday
- Another year down. Today is my 28th Birthday! I'm thinking I won't be sharing with baby c, but I'm ok with that. Everyone says that when you share with your kid that you don't actually have a birthday again.
- If you can't tell my maternity leave has started already. So far in a week I've read 2 books and sat at the pool, and written a blog post for almost every day! I've been doing my best to stay cool and just relax but it's hard!
- I saw these sandals at Kohl's in Red and Green but found them online in brown. I'd change my whole wardrobe to red and green I love them so much! If only they came in black too! (They were on sale for $13.99 this weekend so I ordered them in every color and I'll decide what to keep/return!)
- I am starting a new quilt to keep me occupied until baby arrives. Even though this quilt-a-long is waaaay over, I'll be doing this design since I have a jelly roll that I'm not sure what to do with.
- I got my hair cut today! I figured it would be the last time in a while before baby arrives. I'm terrible at remembering when I last had it cut. Since I don't like how she styled it, you'll have to wait to the weekly picture to see it. :-)
- My parents and my sister got me everything on my wish list (except the baby), for my birthday, I feel so blessed! I cannot wait to use my mom agenda! (I'm such a nerd)
- Remember gmail as a baby book? Well I got an email address for baby chapman. :-) I'm holding out on the name until his arrival though. I love the video so much I wanted to share it again. :-)
My first Christmas in my new Strawberry toy box!

Miscellany Monday
1. happy anniversary, happy birthday, happy baby!
My amazing husband gave me my anniversary/birthday/baby present last week! An iPad. I'm so excited! I've been wanting one for a while but we had decided we were going to wait until the next generation. Now does anyone have any good apps to recommend? What about an app to use for blogging since blogger only works in HTML mode so far? (Really desperate for this right about now)
2. last week of work!
I'm off today because M is leaving today, I will be working the rest of the week, though the outlook is that Thursday and Friday will be half days. Friday is my last day of work until about October depending on when baby Chapman decides to arrive.
3. cooking up a storm
M and I spent most of Sunday cooking to put in the freezer. We cooked about 8 or so different meals for easy cooking after the baby arrives!
4. making a list
I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed with the things that I need to/want to get done before baby arrives, including a list of blogposts, things to do around the house, things to buy etc.
5. full term
Made it to 37 weeks this weekend. Technically full term, I wonder when baby Chapman will decide to make his appearance!
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! :-) Have a great week. Happy Monday!

Miscellany Monday
1. new blog design!
Thanks to Jessica at diamond doll design, I have a new blog design that I won and love!
2. congrats to the happy couple!
We went to a wedding this weekend where KC was the best man and we're so happy for our friends!
3. 'Happy Mothers-to-Be Day'
My husband is awesome and got me a 'Happy Mothers-to-Be Day' gift yesterday. Now it's time to start packing for the hospital. Yikes!
4. no photos yet!
Still waiting for photos from our photographer, she said 2 weeks (it was 2 weeks on Tuesday), but KC said I had to wait until today to send her an email. I needed to have some patience!
5. belly sign!
At the wedding this weekend, I was tempted to put a sign on my belly that said "It's a Boy, 35 Weeks, Not sharing the name, June 11th". I was asked so many times, crazy!
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! :-) Have a great week. Happy Monday!

Miscellany Monday!
1. busy, busy!
It feels like I've either got nothing to blog about or am too busy to blog. No big plans this week so I hope to get caught up with everything!
2. clothes
I hate to complain, but I'm tired of maternity clothes. I am sick of wearing the same 8 shirts and 3 pairs of pants over and over again. Why can I always find dresses/clothes that I like when I can't wear them or don't need them. I found these in Target just walking by this weekend (and I want them!).
3. photo shoot!
Tomorrow we have our photo shoot that I blogged about forever ago. I'm really looking forward to this. I hope that the weather holds out so that we can get some great photos!
4. baby shower!
We had our second baby shower this weekend. Our friends were so great and generous. Recap coming tomorrow!
5. tornado's
During the baby shower there were tornado's that touched down in the area. Luckily where we live we only got some rain for about 20 minutes or so and that was all. Within miles of our place there were homes that suffered much more damage. I feel for all these people and hope to find a way to help them out. We are so thankful that we were lucky enough to not get hit.
6. sewing projects
I finished piecing together the top to baby chapman's play quilt. Last night I basted it, can I tell you that basting with a belly is so not fun. It gets in the way! I haven't even started quilting it yet and yesterday I picked up some fabric to make some burp cloths and blanks for some friends that are having babies. I think I should have finished one project before I started another!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Miscellany Monday
Since my weekly update was late this week you're getting 2 posts today. I know lucky you, right?!?!

- winner, winner, chicken dinner
You all are not going to believe this but I won an epic letterpress machine over at less cake {more frosting}. She has an awesome blog, you should go check it out. My jaw hit the floor when I saw that I was the winner! I can't wait to make some things to share with everyone.
image from less cake {more frosting} - spoiled baby chapman
My mom and sister and grandma and aunts put together an amazing baby shower for baby chapman this weekend. He was so spoiled. I can't wait to share some pictures! My grandma did an amazing job on the cake!
- eighteen25
While surfing less cake {more frosting} she posted about eighteen25 last week and I fell in love. There are so many great things there, you should definitely go check them out. If you're big into subway art you should definitely go check them out, they have one for most holidays, they are great! There are so many great ideas over there, I've got a craft list started!
- heartsy
I love checking out etsy and today, I found out about heartsy. It's apparently like groupon/living social for etsy. Please tell me I'm not the only one who hasn't heard of this before.
- cry baby
I finished My Sister's Keeper last night and did fine until the last 5 pages when I cried like a little baby. I cannot go see the movie if it's like the book. I swear I cried for almost 30 minutes. So, should I see the movie or just accept the book?
I hope that you all had a great weekend as well!

Miscellany Monday!
1. productivity
It was a relatively productive weekend at the Chapman household. We're slowly working on small projects and getting them done a few at a times feels like we're actually accomplishing something. The garage is cleaned out and the coat closet is cleaned out and room has been made!
2. book update
So I have finally finished 1 book I've been wanting to read and another that I haven't been able to get into. This weekend I forced myself to finish the second one, when the good one was done. Now I've decided that I'll probably change up my 2011 reading list a little and read some hardcover/paperback books that I have on the shelves rather than buy a new one. At least for the next book, if not 2.
3. spring is here!
Saturday was a great day. We finally had some spring like weather and it felt great. We did lots of walking around though, so I was wiped out by about 8:00. Sunday was a bit colder. I'm not looking forward to going to NY this weekend and the cooler temperatures there. Apparently it might snow there tomorrow.
4. cash $$$$
So KC and I have decided to try something in terms of our budget. We are doing cash only for eating out. Once the money is gone for the week then no more! First week was successful, we didn't each out much at all. We need to get the budget figured out before we have to pay for daycare. Yeah, that's a whole other post. Now the trick is making sure we get to the ATM to get out the cash! Anyone else have a budgeting/money tracking system that they'd recommend. We do use Mint too.
Some randoms to start off the week! Maybe this week I'll have an actual post, I've got a few I've started! :-)
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Miscellaneous Monday
It was a busy, productive and great weekend. I've got a bunch of miscellaneous stuff to share today so I thought I'd link up.
- I must confess I may be one of the few people who did not watch the Oscar's last night. We started watching but hubs wasn't that interested and after all the work he did this weekend I thought I'd give him TV control.
- Thank you Macy's for carrying Motherhood Maternity. I was able to use a credit from Christmas and get some new shirts (and I still have some left!) this weekend.
- Thanks to my mom who sent me a surprise package with some new clothes on Friday. Plus she said there's another pkg on the way - yeah! (One which I put on for the 25 week update)
- We successfully installed 2 ceiling fans, painted the base white trim and painted the closet this weekend (in baby boy's room), except cashmere white is not the same as white and I need to learn to read better! Oh well, it's just a closet right?
- We slept with the window open last night, it was great! I am so happy that it is finally getting warmer here.
- Friday we will be down to double digit days before baby boy arrives. When you put it that way, I need to get moving!
- I'd like a new pair of Sperry's. I would like a pair of the Angelfish, but not sure how I feel about them being 'colored' too, instead of just brown.

Miscellaney Monday !
1. I'm sad to be leaving CA tomorrow. It was a great time and I'm so happy we were able to pull it off. Looking forward to recapping everything for you! I wish I had been able to ski, but I know that it was just not a good idea to even risk it. Next time, next time!
2. I'm excited to go home tomorrow and see my 'baby girl'. A week without her is a long time. I just can't resist this cute face!
3. This Bumbo seat cover on Etsy is so cute. I will definitely be getting one of these! There are so many great prints!
4. I've spent so much time resting, sleeping and reading while on vacation it's amazing. I've finished one book and looking forward to finishing another tomorrow on the way home!
5. We've decided on our bedding for the little guy and I can't wait to get started on his room.

6. I got a onsie for the little guy this week that cracks me up! it's perfect given the fact that he has 2 parents that work for rather large tech companies and as much as I don't like to admit it, we can be nerds!
Hope your Monday is starting off great. I'll be back later in the week. Enjoy!

Monday Musings!
{2} Last night found out that a friend posted a video of me on YouTube, hiccuping during the Wine Festival. There are 850 views and I'm just seeing it now. I'd share, but I'm afraid you'd all laugh at me, my voice apparently goes up an octave after I've been drinking.
{3} KC is out of town for the next 3 weekends, it's appealing for like 1 weekend to have some girl time, but more than that in a row, not so much. My friends mom called me an "Ultimate Widow", which I'd never heard before, but apparently it's commonly used for women's who's husbands play golf, mine plays Ultimate Frisbee instead.
{4} Once upon a time, when you were adding pictures to posts in blogger there was an option to link to your Picasa albums and pull from there. Now, it's gone, anyone know what I changed to make it go away?
{5} I finished Eat, Pray, Love yesterday, just in time to see the movie. I started the Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes last night and couldn't put it down. The online book club is starting it today, hope you're joining!
{6} I've noticed lots of new followers and comments lately. Thanks for stopping by! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. Sorry I wasn't able to follow back this weekend, but our wireless was not working so I was not able to do much until it was fixed on Sunday.
Hope you all had a great weekend!

Miscellaneous August
{1} I was really productive this weekend but also had a little bit of time to relax. It was kinda nice to be able to enjoy the weekend and not be in a frenzy.
{2} I finally finished my Market Tote, but forgot to take the pictures off the camera, so that'll have to wait until later this week. It has it's flaws but I'm proud of it as a first project.
{3} This weekend's weather made me longing for fall. It was in the 70's/80's here most of the weekend and I loved it. It was great! That's what we have for weather practically through November. Not to mention football (see #4).
{4} Fall brings football and that means fantasy football! Yippee! Did I mention that I won the league the first year and got 4th the second year. Out of 12 (all but 2 were males), that makes me happy.
{5} Anyone have any good games to play at a couples shower. I have the question game in mind, but not sure how to organize/play so guests win prizes (without having to fill out a long questionnaire).
{6} Last night as I was wrapping/tying silverware and lining a basket with fabric (the same fabric used in the invitations), I realized that I am most definitely my mother's daughter. :-) I love details and in my head that is what's going to make this party stand-out from your regular old party.
{7} Saturday we went to Target to get a birthday gift for a 1yr-old and 3yr-old and spent almost an hour walking the aisles picking out a gift, which mostly consisted of playing with the toys ourselves.
{8} For me party planning/hosting = insomnia, so I'm sure I'll be getting very little sleep this week. When I try to go to bed, I can't stop thinking about things that need to be done and small details to add (see #6). I'm looking forward to the weekend getting her quickly!
Hope you all had a great week/weekend! Head on over to lowercase letters and join in!

Happy Monday!
{2} Now it's time to go into panic mode for the Luau shower that is less than 2 weeks away, it crept up on me quickly. Any suggestions for decorating or food?
{3} Playing name that 80's/90's/00's - TV Show Themes/Music is a great way to get everyone involved when you have a new 'group' of people together. Everyone knows at least 1! Thank you YouTube for pre-made mixes!
{4} I'd like to start making my first (baby) quilt for my cousin who is 12 weeks along with her first baby. I'm really nervous, don't know which pattern to use for a beginner.
{5} After this weekend's heat wave, I'm looking forward to September! 20 degrees cooler would be amazing. I'd like to walk more than 2 steps outside without sweating.
{6} I'm in need of a new blog design but I can't quite find any images that I like. I'm obsessed with the teal/red combination right now!
Hope you all had a great week/weekend! Head on over to lowercase letters and join in!

Miscellany Monday
{1} This weekend I had high hopes of being extremely productive, but with little success. I wasn't busy, I just got to a point of doing what needed to be done or I wanted to do and forgetting everything else I had planned.
{2} Thanks for Holly's fabulous tutorial, I started making a market tote last night. So far so good, but I'm worried I may have been a little ambitious for my first project. If it turns out ok, maybe I'll give it away on the blog.
{3} I find it weird that it took me almost 2 weeks the read "Heart of the Matter" since I had been waiting for it for a while, and only 4 days to read "Good Things". I did like them both, time to find the next one.
{4} I'm on a roll, I booked the wrong flight, the AC was broken when we got home and now the dishwasher won't turn on, like at all, no lights, nothing. Anyone got a handy man I can borrow?
{5} Does anyone else ever find themselves on a blog and have no idea how they got there? The other day I found myself about 4 blogs away from the one I started on. Oops!
{6} This is the first time I've had to work 5 full days since the beginning of May. I don't know if I'm going to make it.
{7} I'm not afraid to admit that I'm excited for Eclipse to come out on Wednesday!!
{8} I finally got my wedding dress cleaned and I have to go pick it up today, it only took me 13mos.

Miscellany Monday
{1} This weekend was the Komen Race for the Cure in our area. There were over 30,000 participants according to the news. What a great turnout. My time wasn't that great because of the heat, but I'm ok with that, it was for a good cause.
{2} Today marks 2 years to the date to when KC made me climb up a mountain and then ask me to marry him. This picture is right after it happened.
{3} I spent most of my weekend making bridal shower invitations. I cut each and every one of them (60) out by hand. Thanks goodness I'm done with that. I will definitely start on the invitations for the Jack and Jill earlier.
{4} Potato Salad isn't too popular at my house, but I made a Chipotle Potato Salad last night and it was delicious and went over very well. I'll post the recipe soon.
{5} There's an opening for a job I would love at work. I spoke to the hiring manager last week, but she looks to be going in a different direction and I'm kinda disappointed.
{6} I feel like I need a new wardrobe, I can't find anything to wear when I get dressed in the morning and when I do it's the same 4 or 5 outfits over and over again. Lots of the latest styles don't work that great for my shape though so shopping kinda stinks!
{7} Looking at that picture makes me miss my long hair, I think it's time to grow it out.
Have a wonderful day!

Miscellany Monday
{1} My best friend M is coming from CA on Thursday. I'm so excited!! Posting will probably be light while she's here, unless I have a chance to do some blogging early.
{2} I've had to work all weekend and am working on and off today so it hasn't felt much like a weekend for me. (Hence the lack of blogging too)
{3} I'm considering starting up half marathon training a few weeks after the 10K program is done. The next half marathon in the area isn't until November, which is a ways away. Anyone have a half marathon training program they would recommend?
{4} Last night we had a fun 'date night' of mini golf and ice cream. It was good to do something fun that didn't require lots of concentration after my last few days at work. (Oh and I won!)
{5} I hope that we all remember the sacrifices that our military men and women have made for us and the reason we celebrate memorial day. May we always remember the sacrifices made for our freedom.
Have a wonderful day!
