Miscellany Monday

Since my weekly update was late this week you're getting 2 posts today.  I know lucky you, right?!?!

1. winner, winner, chicken dinner
   You all are not going to believe this but I won an epic letterpress machine over at less cake {more frosting}.  She has an awesome blog, you should go check it out. My jaw hit the floor when I saw that I was the winner!  I can't wait to make some things to share with everyone.

2. spoiled baby chapman
   My mom and sister and grandma and aunts put together an amazing baby shower for baby chapman this weekend.  He was so spoiled.  I can't wait to share some pictures!  My grandma did an amazing job on the cake!
   
   
3. eighteen25
   While surfing less cake {more frosting} she posted about eighteen25 last week and I fell in love.  There are so many great things there, you should definitely go check them out.  If you're big into subway art you should definitely go check them out, they have one for most holidays, they are great!  There are so many great ideas over there, I've got a craft list started!
   
4. heartsy
   I love checking out etsy and today, I found out about heartsy.  It's apparently like groupon/living social for etsy.  Please tell me I'm not the only one who hasn't heard of this before.
   
5. cry baby
   I finished My Sister's Keeper last night and did fine until the last 5 pages when I cried like a little baby.  I cannot go see the movie if it's like the book.  I swear I cried for almost 30 minutes.  So, should I see the movie or just accept the book?

29 Week Update!

 

Special picture this weekend from my baby shower in NY.  My uncle Bill stopped by and we tried to compare bellies!  :-)

How far along? 29 weeks

How big is baby?  2.5 pounds/15 inches!  About the size of a butternut squash.

Weight gain? 25lbs 

Symptoms? Heartburn and indigestion.  All that sitting this weekend on the plane started to make me realize how much my back hurts.

Sleep?  On and off this week.  Still struggling with sleeping on my side.

Food cravings? Milk and fruit.  So yummy!

Movement? Crazy all over the place movement.  Looks like a snake moving around sometimes, kinda creepy. 



Gender?  It's a boy! 

Clothes?  Maternity Pants and some maternity tops and some regular tops.  I have on my maternity dress I wore in my shower, but I'm afraid it's going to be too short by the time I'm 35wks and have a wedding to go to!

What I am looking forward to? Putting away all of the amazing and awesome stuff we got at the shower this weekend.




What am I missing?  Sleeping on my stomach!  Maybe a random glass of wine!  Other than that everything is great.

Milestones? His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is getting bigger to accommodate his growing brain – which is busy developing billions of neurons.

Other? Baby Chapman was spoiled this weekend by some awesome family and friends at the baby shower in NY.  My mom and sister did an amazing job and I am so thankful for them.  We'll have to start some organization this week!  Lots to do!  Baby pool is still open for entries!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving this post on BabyCenter (image from there) about 'The Period Mix' that was mentioned on 'No Strings Attached'.  My husband and I both thought that this segment was hilarious.

I'm loving the 2 new little outfits and the 'creeper' we picked up for baby c this weekend when we were at the Carter's outlet.  Cute crab on the butt, who can resist!

I'm loving that this weekend I get to go home and see my mom and dad and other family members for my baby shower.  I haven't seen them since Christmas, feels like forever!

I'm loving that I found a First Year Calendar to match our bedding, but I bought 2 at Christmas time (1 for baby c and 1 as a gift) and now I need to find someone who would like the other one so that I can get this one, ha ha!

I'm loving all of the new followers and commenters lately!  You all have made my day lately and I'm working on checking out everyone else's blogs too!

I'm loving my hubby who has been doing so much around the house from cooking and dishes to everything else without even a second thought about it!

Miscellany Monday!

 1.  productivity

It was a relatively productive weekend at the Chapman household.  We're slowly working on small projects and getting them done a few at a times feels like we're actually accomplishing something.  The garage is cleaned out and the coat closet is cleaned out and room has been made! 

2.  book update

So I have finally finished 1 book I've been wanting to read and another that I haven't been able to get into.  This weekend I forced myself to finish the second one, when the good one was done.  Now I've decided that I'll probably change up my 2011 reading list a little and read some hardcover/paperback books that I have on the shelves rather than buy a new one.  At least for the next book, if not 2.

3.  spring is here!

Saturday was a great day.  We finally had some spring like weather and it felt great.  We did lots of walking around though, so I was wiped out by about 8:00.  Sunday was a bit colder.  I'm not looking forward to going to NY this weekend and the cooler temperatures there.  Apparently it might snow there tomorrow.

4.  cash $$$$

So KC and I have decided to try something in terms of our budget.  We are doing cash only for eating out.  Once the money is gone for the week then no more!  First week was successful, we didn't each out much at all.  We need to get the budget figured out before we have to pay for daycare.  Yeah, that's a whole other post.  Now the trick is making sure we get to the ATM to get out the cash!  Anyone else have a budgeting/money tracking system that they'd recommend.  We do use Mint too.

Some randoms to start off the week!  Maybe this week I'll have an actual post, I've got a few I've started!  :-)

28 Week Update!

How far along? 28 weeks

How big is baby?  2.25 pounds/14.8 inches!  About the size of a chinese cabbage.

Weight gain? 24lbs  - Checked this morning.  Not bad I guess.

Symptoms? Oh the heartburn and indigestion.  I've learned that pancakes are a no go.  And I think bagels too, but I"m hoping not!

Sleep?  On and off this week.  Still struggling with sleeping on my side.

Milestones? He can open and close his eyes, which now sport lashes. This movement is more of a reflexive blink than a deliberate opening and closing, but it won't be long before he's batting those beauties at me .

Other?  Third trimester has officially begun!  Appointment and GD test this week.
